Supporting service and culinary team in satisfying guest needs by taking direction and helping to serve all items.
Serving orders by picking up and delivering guests' choices from bar and kitchen, delivering accompaniments and condiments from service areas.
Understanding the different menu items and the service ware guests will need when they are ordered, ensure those items are present when delivery food.
Preparing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, polishing glassware and polishing utensils.
Protecting establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
Keeping kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
Maintaining table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, maintaining beverage service and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
Taking instruction and providing assistance to the Chef in the kitchen.
Stocking and restock service stations as needed.
Supporting other areas of the restaurant as necessary.
Continuously participating in all training and/or activities to further knowledge, understanding and mastery of products, services.
Reporting incidents of any nature to management (safety & security hazards, accidents, operational inconsistencies, etc.).
Understanding and adhering to company policy with regards to Evolution standards as well as Federal, State & Local laws
ideal Food Runner candidate will have at least one year of restaurant experience, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering excellent service. The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends
Ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds on a consistent basis
Ability to stand, walk, and move around during entire shift
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice
Must have a valid alcohol awareness certification or be capable of obtaining certification
Must have a valid Certified Food Handlers Card or be capable of obtaining one
