About This Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for all finance activities related to the preparation of journal entries, the ensuring of general ledger accuracy, and the reconciling of balance sheet accounts so as to produce timely and accurate financial reports for hotel owners at the end of each month.

Key responsibilities of the Income Auditor include:
• Review and analyze daily revenue and labor reports
• Ensure daily and monthly tax balancing for Sales and TOT taxes
• Maintain and manage monthly/quarterly inventories for food, beverage, linen, CGS, etc
• Complete daily and weekly reconciliation of cash and credit card deposits
• Prepare month end journal entries and balance sheets reconciliations
• Validate and reconcile multiple payroll to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the payroll transmittal
• Assist the finance disciplines as necessary to ensure compliance with current standards

Job Requirements:
Aptitude for performing numerical analysis of data and formulating conclusions and/or solutions
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years of hospitality experience in a similar complex property
• Experience with reading and analyzing general ledger reports
• Ability to use logic to define a problem, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret information and deal with abstract variables for unique or unfamiliar situations
• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills so as to ensure successful relationships with property-based finance leaders
• Ability to comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas
• An operational knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting programs
• Working knowledge of Opera or Symphony
• Ability to multi-task in a high-traffic environment
• Must possess strong communication skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
• Ability to work irregular days and hours including nights, graveyard shifts, weekends and holidays

Preferred & Required Experience:
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years of hospitality experience in a similar complex property
