The Opportunity

Set among Sedona’s Red Rocks at the banks of Oak Creek, L’Auberge de Sedona is one of the Southwest’s foremost luxury retreats exuding complete tranquility, refinement and romance.  The property offers 88 meticulously appointed luxury accommodations and cottages, many featuring outdoor cedar showers and wood-burning fireplaces and are spread across 11 acres of manicured grounds.

We are currently looking for a Landscape Gardener to join our team.  As a Landscape Gardener, you’ll be responsible for performing general landscape work.

Job Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of a Landscape Gardener include:

  • Maintaining all gardens, courtyards, flower beds and boxes, exterior walkways, lawns and grounds to exacting standards
  • Caring for and pruning of trees and shrubbery throughout the property
  • Performing maintenance and/or repairs on the irrigation system
  • Completing other special projects as assigned by the Landscape Supervisor

Job Requirements

The ideal Landscape Gardener candidate will have general knowledge of horticulture and have experience using mowers, weed-eaters, blowers, sprayers, hand tools, trimmers, hedgers and hoses.  We are looking for a high energy, motivated individual who will take ownership and who has the organization skills to manage several tasks at once.

The minimum qualifications for the Landscape Gardener position are:

  • General knowledge of basic hand and power tools used for landscaping
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Ability to move throughout the property (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) throughout shift
  • Ability to perform manual tasks in varying temperatures and climates
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull items that weigh up to 50 pounds
  • Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions, receive job assignments and communicate progress and/or completion of assignment, and basic guest requests
  • Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
