We’re looking for a Spa Manager to join the team at our Carneros Resort and Spa

As a Spa Manager, you’ll be responsible for supervising and supporting the day to day activities of the spa while ensuring guests receive a soothing, world-class spa experience.

Job Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of a Spa Manager include:

  • Assisting in scheduling employees and assigning work to ensure proper coverage
  • Ensuring that all team members are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively perform their jobs
  • Performing opening and closing duties
  • Assisting with scheduling spa appointments and services
  • Assisting with ongoing training of the Well Spa team
  • Maintaining a neat and clean work environment
  • Interacting with guests in a professional and service oriented manner
  • Answering questions about available services, general property information and amenities of the spa, fitness center and property
  • Promoting and selling spa services and retail products
  • Resolving guest complaints and communicating with the Spa Director regarding the issue and resolution in a timely manner
  • Monitoring supply of guest amenities and supplies and completing purchase orders as appropriate
  • Maintaining an up to date working knowledge of all spa services, packages, promotions, and retail products offered

Job Requirements

The minimum qualifications for the Spa Manager position are:

  • Two (2) years of previous supervisory experience required, experience in a Spa atmosphere preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail and excellence in guest service
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice both in person and over the phone
  • Ability to observe performance and detect signs of emergency situations and respond with proper action
  • Ability to participate in the creation of an enjoyable work environment
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy
  • Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings and weekends
