The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Full Time General Cashier to join the team at our Hard Rock Hotel property.
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of a General Cashier include:
• Manage house bank funds and change requirements
• Reconcile General Ledger postings for cash and credit card accounts
• Complete daily deposits for multiple locations and reconcile to POS / PMS reports
• Research and resolve deposit discrepancies
• Maintain effective and productive relationships with associates and managers
• Achieve Month End accuracy with consistent follow through, administrative strength and a highly organized work approach.
• Prepare daily cash over short worksheet
• Prepare daily deposit and post to general ledger
• Prepare and manage weekly change orders and special deposits
• Provide change to cashiers as needed
• Prepare and processes transient TA commission checks monthly
• Audits all cashier banks monthly
Job Requirements
The ideal General Cashier candidate will be detail oriented, have the highest level of integrity and be highly analytical with at least 1-2 years’ experience in a cashiering position.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• An operational knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting programs
• Ability and desire to acquire extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services and facilities
• Ability to multi-task in a high-traffic environment
• Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
