Job summary
The Expediter is responsible for taking the guests through the key phase of their Hard Rock experience. As a Maryjane’s runner, you will be assuming the role of tour guide, communicator, decision-maker, entertainer, memorabilia curator and musician (at heart).
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of an Expediter include:
• Running food
• Demonstrating impeccable product knowledge
• Answering questions - accurately and politely
• Properly reading items printed on order tickets
• Assembling orders - double checking product quality and specs
• Satisfying any/all needs of the guests - regularly double checking back with guests throughout their experience
• Maintaining a clean & organized station
• Properly labeling, dating, covering and refrigerating prepped items for the expo line
• Performing opening, closing & side duties; setting up and breaking down station, expo line, refilling condiments for next shift.
• Demonstrating knowledge of all table and station numbers
• Directing guests to areas & restrooms
• Effectively communicating with co-workers including kitchen staff

Job Requirements
In addition to work-related experience, your qualifications must include a passion to provide great guest service, thoughtful attention to details, and an outgoing, extremely friendly "how may I serve you" attitude that guests will remember.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Performing duties which require bending & reaching
• Lifting & transporting up to 25-pound dining chairs, booster seats, high chairs, and food/drink orders (from bar & kitchen to guests’ tables) – if applicable, emptying trash cans weighing up to 100 pounds
• Standing (expo) or walking (server), for up to 8+ hours
• Maintaining a well-groomed appearance (“having a plan”)
• Following all uniform guidelines
• Practicing all safety & sanitation standards
• Recycling products, where possible
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends
• Must have a valid alcohol awareness certification or be capable of obtaining certification
• Must have a valid Certified Food Handlers Card or be capable of obtaining one
Skills / Ability to:
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests
• Communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice
• Work and interact well with departments throughout the organization
• Demonstrate a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency
• Effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy
• Handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner
• Participate in the creation of an enjoyable work environment
