HR Business Partner

HUMAN RESOURCE BUSINESS PARTNER

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position)
This position will work as a business partner to leadership of various client groups which will include Corporate, Manufacturing and Retail regarding all Human Resources functions including, but not limited to; Performance Management, HR policy and procedures administration, Employee Relations, Training, Organizational Development and Talent Acquisition. This role is to provide guidance regarding HR practices and objectives that provide an employee oriented, customer focused, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, accountability, quality, productivity and on-going development of the workforce.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Initiatives
• Contributes to HR Leadership vision and translates that vision into HR strategies to create positive, productive workplace.
• Develops a collaborative planning process to devise creative solutions to complex human resource challenges or concerns.
• Continually evaluates and updates personnel policies and procedures; conducting appropriate research, determining deficiencies and recommends solutions.
Organizational Development
• Develops and implements Human Resources strategies which support business objectives and builds organizational capability.
• Works with management of client groups to develop and implement plans, programs and strategies for short and long-term succession planning, cross functional expertise and people development.
• Create performance improvement plans, provide employee coaching and support leaders with employee career development.
• Evaluate workforce, goal achievements, human resource processes and provide recommendations for improvement as needed.
• Administers various HR programs including St. John community events.
Employee Relations
• Works in collaboration with supervisors to resolve complaints and conducts investigations as necessary.
• Creates and maintains documentation regarding employee relations matters.
• Ensures consistent application of company policy and procedures with regard to disciplinary administration.
• Remain up-to-date on labor law regulations related to employment and employee relations.
• Conducts exit Interviews and provides feedback to management regarding employee experience.
Administration
• Ensures compliance with HR policies and procedures within client groups.
• Assists with HR transaction processing which may include data entry into HRIS of new hires, transfers, terminations, benefit administration, unemployment claims, etc.
Performance Management
• Manages the development, execution and administration of the Performance Management process.
• Guide and support process of addressing under-performing associates.
• Interpret policies and procedures to ensure consistency with disciplinary action and overall decision making and compliance with governmental regulations.
Talent Acquisition
• Partner with management and supervisors to identify key talent to accomplish goals.
• Manage and support recruiting initiatives for various departments including: requisition process, position postings, screening candidates, interviewing and on-boarding.
Training & Development
• Work with leaders to identify, develop and implement training initiatives for client groups that supports the brand, culture and philosophy of St. John.
• Manage implementation and scheduling for all training initiatives.

• Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations.
• Adheres to local, state and federal laws.
• Additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor related to your position/department
• Up to 20% travel may be required as necessary
• Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (if applicable)
• May supervise receptionist team and HR file clerk.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
• Interacts with all levels throughout organization including employees and outside vendors.

Education/Experience:
• 3+ years experience in Human Resources (corporate, manufacturing and retail environment preferred)
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred
• Employee Relations and employment law experience required
• HRIS experience - desirable, but not required
• HR Certification preferred.
• Candidates must have knowledge of excel, word and PowerPoint
