Accounts Receivable Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT
This role oversees the wholesale receivable department. Department activities include processing of daily cash receipts, reconciliation of all receipts, application to, and management of, customers’ accounts receivable, accounting for and processing of chargebacks and other associated offsets as well as monthly reconciliation of outstanding receivables and assessment of key reserves.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identifies and break down all cash receipts, Lock box deposits, Wire transfers, Letters of Credit, Euro and British Pounds and distribute for processing in Movex.
• Handles invoicing and mailings, posting and reconciling cash receipts for SJ Promotions and SJ Advertising. Creates statements and prepares month end for review and journal entries to the GL.
• Reviews Employee Purchases and Alterations for past due invoices. Corrects any problems with returns, credit memos or cancelled orders.
• Manage collections and follow up with past due balances.
• Perform month end Accounts Receivable reconciliations.
• Review and adjust accordingly key reserves such as markdown allowances, co-operative advertising, bad debt.
• Generates monthly KPI reporting for turnover, DSO, sell through and margin analysis, etc.
• Work closely with Finance and Accounting leadership on forecasting collections.
• Overseas credit management process.

• Directly manages the Accounts Receivable Team
• Provides coaching and development
• Empowers direct reports
• Ensures workflow and processes are to maximum efficiencies for business necessity

• Interacts with all levels throughout organization including employees and outside customers.

Education/Experience:
• Minimum of 4 years of Accounts Receivable and General Accounting Experience
• Experience within the Retail / Wholesale industry
• College Degree in Accounting
• Excellent computer skills
• Proficient with Excel, Word.
