Copywriter- Part Time

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT
The Copywriter is responsible for developing the brand voice in partnerships with the creative and e-commerce teams and write all content for the company’s ecommerce website, email campaigns and digital communication, digital and print assets including catalogs, look books and invitations, and all social media content. This role will effectively manage multiple projects and tasks, pick up both voice and process quickly, work with different teams and stakeholders, take feedback and changes in stride, keep track of your own deadlines and flourish in a fast-paced environment. The Copywriter will write content that is elevated, on-brand, compelling, informative, and SEO-friendly, driving site activity and conversion by working with the company’s marketing team to ensure strategic tone and branding requirements are met.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works closely with VP of Content in establishing the new St. John brand voice
• Compiles copy guidelines and vocabulary for the brand
• Writes and edits copy for a variety of channels, including email, website, product descriptions, mobile push, social, paid, in-store signage, catalogs, look books, events invitations and more
• Develops conceptual positioning messaging and language in line with business and marketing program objectives
• Self-editing and copyediting to align with the St. John brand voice
• Has an exceptional eye for typos, grammatical errors and confusing syntax
• A multitasker who can juggle several projects at the same time and meet pressing deadlines
• Fluent in all-things digital with a genuine curiosity about trends happening in the world

• Less than 20% travel may be required as necessary
• Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs to meet in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Education/Experience:
• 5+ years’ experience writing and editing e-commerce product copy and marketing copy
• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communication, or related field
• Keen understanding of luxury voice and product copy best practices
• Portfolio with relevant work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment

**This role is 15-20 hours weekly
