Merchandise Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position)
The Merchandise Assistant will support the Senior Account Manager in all tasks associated with the selection, placement, tracking and troubleshooting of merchandise for designated accounts. This position requires collaboration across departments to provide full service and support for all Wholesale Major Accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for accurate order entry and cancellations by specific deadlines
• Troubleshoot and communicate discrepancies in submitted orders, and make applicable updates in Movex
• Communicate with accounts when EDIs/ Electronic Data Interchanges are not transmitted correctly
• Complete weekly/monthly sales tracking reports
• Process shipping reports and work closely with the allocation team to ensure on time delivery
• Maintain orders, re-routes, extend PO’s and process approved RTV’s
• Assist buyers, assistants and other account contacts with daily customer service requests
• Prepare account specific seasonal product knowledge materials; dotted line to the Corporate Marketing partners to ensure all collateral, directives, etc. for the Wholesale accounts are current and meet the standard laid forth by the brand
• Coordinate sending samples for accounts’ photo shoots, create styling guidelines, and ensure the accurate and timely publishing of merchandise to site
• Market Support; Prep market reports and line sheets for accounts, assist models in styling, support buyers and Senior Account Managers as needed
• Manage external vendors as necessary including catering, models, and dressers for market
• Manage the sales estimate entry process, and communicate all revisions to production before the fabric buy is finalized
• Partner on the management of corporate budgets and the tracking of invoices and expenditures; Work closely with the Senior Account Manager to provide relevant, timely, and accurate reporting on all agreed upon financial budgets
• Collaborate with the Wholesale Event Manager on corporate marketing efforts and events for major accounts

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
• Retail luxury experience strongly preferred
• Experience with high end retail fashion accounts
• A minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience
• Highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook
