Ecommerce Merchandising Site Manager

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT
As the eCommerce Merchandising Manager, you will lead critical aspects of www.stjohnknits.com
brand site experience—leading on-site merchandising to create a cohesive consumer journey that optimizes site engagement, product discovery, conversion, and overall consumer experience via high-touch storytelling and merchandising. The eCommerce Merchandising Manager will oversee new product launch, leveraging product insights, mix of business, and overall sales data to make strategic product and content decisions that generate results. The eCommerce Merchandising Manager will report into the Director of eCommerce.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serves as a liaison between the eCommerce, Buying Team, Planning Team and Design Team.
• Lead and plan short and long-term strategy and execution of stjohnknits.com content and merchandising to drive the eCommerce business while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.
• Coordinate with Marketing team to develop and implement strategy for eCommerce new product launches, including engaging site content, unique storytelling, and merchandising tools, based on product positioning, target audience, and storytelling needed throughout the consumer journey.
• Collaborate with marketing, buying and design teams to plan and develop best-in-class on-site assets & landing page execution for all promotions and events. Influence campaign concepts by championing content that is compelling and drives engagement and intent to purchase.
• Continually improve content process and opportunities – establishing best practices to drive a streamlined process while working with the Creative team to grow the quality and breadth of available assets.
• Develop and maintain a holistic site content calendar for eCommerce team visibility and cross-functional alignment.
• Manage the product merchandising strategy to ensure products maintain a strategic hierarchy based on mix of business, inventory, and brand priorities.
• Track analytics, assess campaign effectiveness, and recommend optimizations based on performance.
• Stay up-to-date and report on eCommerce trends including sites, merchandising tools and applications from key competitors. Leverage consumer insights to drive opportunities.
• Support on site QA and content/product programming as needed.
• Manage and lead eCommerce product exclusive strategy (full price) and product centric flash sale (outlet) strategy

• This role does not oversee any direct reports

Education and Experience:
• 2-4 years of experience in eCommerce industry, with most recent experience as eCommerce Merchandising Manager for a fashion brand; luxury highly preferred. Experience of website management, site merchandising, digital marketing and customer experience enhancement is a preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• High level proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point. Dreamweaver and Photoshop will be a plus. Magento platform experience preferred.
• High level of interaction with data and excel spreadsheets (knowledge of Google Analytics is a plus)
