The Opportunity
Hard Rock Bars is currently pursuing a search for San Diego’s best VIP Host for Hard Rock’s two restaurants and lounges. This position is primarily responsible for marketing and sales productivity as well as ensuring an exceptional client experience.
Job Responsibilities
The primary job responsibilities of a VIP Host include:
• Developing lead generation strategies and networking opportunities
• Cultivating new customers by “shopping” the local competition
• Establishing, strengthening and maintaining long-term client relationships
• Consistently generating revenue for the clubs through VIP Bottle Sales and total sales through invited guests
• Attending to high profile clients and celebrities to ensure unprecedented nightlife experience
• Managing the VIP arrival experience
• Providing excellent customer service and assisting clients with their reservations and accommodations
• Creating and utilizing online marketing via social media networks
• Maintaining a client database in Excel to include emails, phone numbers for texting and other contact information
• Generating a weekly guest list
• Commenting (Tag) all Hard Rock Hotel, Float/207 posts on social media outlets
• Assisting HRB Management with day-to-day operations
• Acting as a liaison between the inside of the club and outside of the club
• Professionally representing the venue in public and private events, as well as competitive nightlife venues
Job Requirements
In addition to work-related experience, your qualifications must include a passion to provide great guest service, thoughtful attention to details, and an outgoing, extremely friendly "how may I serve you" attitude that guests will remember.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• Extensive knowledge of nightclub operations
• Experience with promoting nightlife and bar operations
• Experience at a similar size/quality of nightclub preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with clients using social media outlets
• Must be highly organized, results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced changing environment
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests and team members using a positive, clear speaking voice
• Strong interpersonal skills: ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful and flexible
• Must possess strong communication and listening skills
• Professional and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude
• Ability to take initiative and ownership to resolve problems
• Must have the ability to work with guests and respond immediately and accurately to their needs and requirements
• Ability to work a varied schedule that will include evenings, nights, and weekends
• Must be computer literate; have experience using Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office
