Vespera on Ocean is a brand-new hotel within Marriott's Autograph Collection, located steps from the ocean and central boardwalk in scenic Pismo Beach, California. Vespera on Ocean will open to the public in Spring, 2019. At the heart of the Vespera on Ocean will be a full-service, three-meal, 200+ seat upscale restaurant, with a bar/lounge, patio with unobstructed ocean views, poolside dining, interior banquet space, and an event lawn for private functions. At the center of the restaurant is a custom-designed open kitchen.
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Housekeeping House Attendant to join our team at Vespera on Ocean located in Pismo Beach, California.
As the House Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public areas, corridors, vending areas, elevators and landings and service areas on guest floors, ensuring that hotel cleanliness standards are met. In addition, you will assist Room Attendants by making sure that they have the linen and other supplies that they need for the next day and assisting with cleaning and refreshing guest rooms as necessary.
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of a Housekeeping PM House Attendant include:
• Working the afternoon shift, ensuring that all public spaces, corridors, vending areas, elevators and landings and service areas on guest floors are always clean and presentable
• Providing linen supplies for Room Attendants
• Stocking guest floor closets
• Delivering and retrieving items requested by guests and/or Floor Supervisor
• Reporting maintenance issues immediately
• Greeting guests in hallways and public spaces in a pleasant and friendly manner
Job Requirements
The minimum qualifications for the Housekeeping PM House Attendant position are:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time
• Ability to make repeated movements of the arms, hands and wrists
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a moderate weight frequently
• Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests
• Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts
