Seeking a talented, creative, and dedicated Junior Graphic Designer who will work as part of our in-house marketing team. The designer must have some experience and interest in both print and digital media and be able to convert copy into compelling design that is on brand and meets the creative brief specifications. They will be taking existing branding implement it in various collateral pieces for print or digital. The designer must be able to prioritize projects and use effective time management while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency-style environment. The ideal candidate is a team player who is passionate about their craft with a fun and positive attitude towards work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design a variety of marketing collateral and assets including email communications, digital ads, flyers, brochures, sales sheets, posters, presentations, invitations, web graphics, signage, and social media graphics
Ensure each piece adheres to an established brand and style guide
Provide support to our senior designers, marketing managers, and ecommerce team
Work collaboratively with the Creative Director, Marketing Managers, and ecommerce team to craft engaging and effective visual design
Proof files to ensure quality and accuracy
Help ensure consistent brand identity across all materials
Retouch images to improve quality in both print and digital formats
SKILLS
Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Ability to uphold brand and style guidelines
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word and PowerPoint)
Excellent typography and layout skills
Illustration skills are a plus
Strong copywriting and proofing skills
Interest in photography a plus
Great interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others, to hear and apply constructive feedback, and to articulate design ideas and be clearly understood
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
Flexibility to switch focus between multiple projects
Effective time management and multi-tasking
Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, advertising, and digital design
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 1-2 years of professional design experience, preferably in an agency setting
Portfolio showcasing a variety of work and skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art, or Marketing preferred
