The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an Area Revenue Manager to join our growing portfolio of properties in our portfolio. This job will support multiple branded properties consisting of Hilton and Marriott products.

Job Responsibilities:
The Area Revenue Manager is responsible for providing support to the Area Director of Revenue Management and the property teams in order to maximize RevPAR and RevPAR Index through the management of room inventories, market mix and pricing strategies. In addition, the Area Revenue Manager works with the Area DRM and hotel teams to ensure that they focus on Total Hotel Revenue Management in support of Evolution Hospitality’s financial goals.

Key responsibilities of the Area Revenue Manager position include:
• Managing and maximizing the various Marriott systems (HPP, MARSHA, OneYield, MRDW, etc) to drive incremental revenue for the hotels
• Managing room inventories, rates, restrictions, and stay through availability to maximize revenue
• Monitoring and understanding the pricing of competitors, the dynamics of the local market, and demand generators
• Analyzing and reviewing monthly and weekly STAR Report results, understanding gains or losses of RevPAR Index and applying this knowledge to make recommendations
• Staying abreast of industry and local market trends
• Recommending competitive and compelling packages and promotions to fabricate demand during need periods
• Leveraging Evolution Hospitality’s proprietary technology to drive superior results
• Supporting the development of all pricing and market mix strategies
• Making recommendations based on historical data and current trends
• Managing group cut-off dates and block shortfalls and overages
• Assisting in the development and execution of a strategic plan and the annual operating plan for the hotel
• Analyzing market trends and communicating results to the hotel sales team
• Monitoring and adjusting group pricing strategies, preferred patterns, and need periods
• Preparing the 14 day operational forecast
• Compiling, analyzing and monitoring results to benefit monthly forecast accuracy
• Preparing Sales Strategy meeting packets and minutes
• Generating accurate and timely reporting to support the needs of the revenue management discipline

Job Requirements

The minimum qualifications for the Area Revenue Manager position are:
• Minimum of 3 years of hotel experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of Revenue Analyst experience required
• Marriott experience preferred
• College degree (BS/BA) preferred
• Skilled in problem analysis, problem solving and decision making
• Above average Excel knowledge; extremely comfortable compiling and manipulating data
• Aptitude to perform numerical analysis of data and formulate conclusions and solutions
• Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
• Track record of working collaboratively with others to achieve desired results.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
