We are currently looking for a Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at The Queen Mary on a temporary basis..
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the AR Specialist include:
• Reviewing and processing all direct bill settlements twice weekly
• Completing daily collection calls to maintain 90% or better current aging
• Handling guest inquiries regarding billing issues
• Managing advance deposits for all upcoming groups and events
• Completing final group invoices within 72 hours of departure
• Processing and verifying credit applications for direct bill privileges
• Reviewing guest ledger to ensure credit coverage of high balances
• Processing weekly and monthly invoices for tenant accounts
Job Requirements
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Billing and/or collection experience required
• Hotel accounting background preferred including Opera PMS & Delphi System proficiency
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written format in a professional manner with guests and colleagues
• Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, and be a team player
• Proficient in 10-key operation by touch and data entry
• Demonstrated ability in completing multiple tasks on time
• High level attention to detail and accuracy
