The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Part Time Accounts Payable Coordinator to join the team at our dual Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites property in beautiful Little Italy San Diego.
As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, under limited supervision, you would perform routine accounts payable duties using established accounting standards, principles, and practices.
Job Responsibilities:
• Processing 500-700 invoices monthly while achieving 99% accuracy or better
• Assisting Department Managers in weekly General Ledger reconciliation of purchases
• Assisting in preparing month end accruals for outstanding invoices
• Receiving, stamping and routing invoices to obtain proper approval and/or documentation needed to properly process payments in accordance with current company policies and procedures
• Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies to ensure vendor requirements are met
• Reconciling vendor accounts including follow up with past due invoices
• Maintaining harmonious communications and interactions with General Manager, department managers, guests, vendors and all hotel employees
• Communicating verbally or via email all invoice discrepancies to the department managers
• Maintaining effective and productive relationships with corporate associates
• Achieving month end accuracy with consistent follow through and a highly organized work approach
Job Requirements:
The ideal Accounts Payable Coordinator candidate will be detail oriented and highly analytical with at least 1-2 years experience in accounts payable.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• An operational knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting programs
• Ability and desire to acquire extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services and facilities
• Ability to multi-task in a high-traffic environment
• Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
