The Stanley Hotel located in beautiful Estes Park, CO is looking for a talented Pastry Cook to assist with the preparation of luxury resort quality pastries and baked goods to be served in all food outlets.
Known for its old world charm, The Stanley Hotel boasts spectacular views in every direction and is less than six miles from Rocky Mountain National Park. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and member of Historic Hotels of America, the 202-room Stanley Hotel continues its rich tradition of offering the finest service and amenities in beautiful Estes Park, CO.
Responsibilities:
• Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist and support kitchen leadership, to ensure efficient and professional preparation of pastries and baked goods.
• Portion, plate, and tray all desserts for hotel food outlets.
• Review banquet function sheets and leisure counts daily and complete daily task log.
• Assist in the maintenance of a reference file of current recipes.
• Requisition pastry supplies, as needed and approved.
• Fill pastry orders, as requested.
• Represent and market The Stanley Hotel in a positive and professional manner as requested and continually promote the property internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships both on and off property.
• Immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions and avoid injury to self and others.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment at all times.
• Perform other tasks, including cross-training, as instructed.

Job Requirements:
The ideal Pastry Cook candidate will have had a minimum of 6 months of previous experience in pastry preparation and decorating in a high-volume, hotel kitchen or restaurant. The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• Ability to stand, walk and move around during entire shift
• Ability to handle, carry and/or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division (needed in order to adjust recipes according to business levels)
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
• Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends
• Previous experience working in a hotel restaurant, banquet operation, or similar kitchen a plus!

Preferred & Required Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• English fluency required.
• Hotel experience preferred.
