The Stanley Hotel is currently seeking a dynamic, engaged, and proven HEAD GARDENER to manage our landscaping team.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Working in close consort with the owner and management, select and order seasonal plantings, and coordinate installation as appropriate for business demands, guest traffic and weather
• Maintaining all gardens, courtyards, flower beds and boxes, exterior walkways, lawns and grounds to exacting standards
• Care and pruning of trees and shrubbery throughout the property
• Purchase of plant and garden supplies; management of budget in accordance with established practices
• Effectively schedule, coordinate, and manage the grounds staff, and outside contractors as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position is strongly preferred.
• Must possess demonstrated ability to effectively manage a staff.
• Strong guest service orientation and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs consistently.
• Must be able to work in the heat, and in other weather conditions as needed.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States of America.
