The Carneros Resort and Spa located in Napa, CA is searching for a talented Pastry Cook to assist with the preparation of luxury resort quality pastries and baked good to be served in all hotel food outlets.

Responsibilities:
• To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• To assist and support Pastry Chef, to ensure efficient and professional preparation of pastries and baked goods.
• To portion, plate, and tray all desserts for hotel food outlets.
• To review banquet function sheets and leisure counts daily and complete daily task log prepared by Pastry Chef.
• To assist in the maintenance of a reference file of current recipes.
• To requisition pastry supplies, as needed and approved.
• To fill pastry orders, as requested.
• To represent and market The Carneros Resort and Spa in a positive and professional manner as requested and continually promote the property internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships both on and off property.
• To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions and avoid injury to self and others.
• To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment at all times.
• To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.

Preferred & Required Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• English fluency required.
• Spanish language ability helpful.
• Must have minimum six months experience in pastry preparation and decorating. Show pieces optional.
• Familiar with OSHA, SB198, local Department of Health regulations, and relevant current laws governing handling of hazardous substances.
• Hotel experience preferred.
