The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Dishwasher to join our Hard Rock Team.
As a Dishwasher you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of all service food areas and equipment.
Summary of essential job functions
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
• Empty trash and recycle bins.
• Stock supplies such as utensils in serving stations and cupboards.
• Assist in routine cleaning procedures.
• Sweep or scrub floors.
• Sort and remove trash, place in designated pick up areas.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
• Clean dish machine area and clean dish machine.
• Clean hot line/Room Service area.
• Polish silverware.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements
• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Must have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning , evening, and night.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to move perform frequent and repetitive movements, including bending and stooping.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a moderate weight frequently.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines, including the thorough cleaning of the minimum number of rooms assigned.
Skills / Ability to:
• Effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
• Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests.
• Observe and follow all Food Safety requirement established by organization.
• Participate in the creation of an enjoyable work environment.
• Formulate and apply appropriate course of action for routine and/or familiar situations.
Other Requirements and Characteristics:
• The work requires physical exertion with long periods of standing, walking; light bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; occasional lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds.
• A high energy, motivated individual who will take ownership and who has the organizational skills to manage several tasks at once.
