Evolution Hospitality is looking for a hard-working, mid-level graphic designer to support their portfolio of branded, independent, lifestyle and boutique hotels and resorts. This position is basedout of the corporate office located in San Clemente. This individual must be intuitive and able to turn rough ideas into concepts to create professional digital and printed items.
Key Responsibilities of a Graphic Designer include:
• Mid-level graphic design support for a portfolio of branded, independent, lifestyle and boutique hotels and resorts
• Intuitively turn rough design ideas into branded concepts to create professional digital and printed items
• Work in tandem with marketing, ecommerce and creative teams to meet goals and deadlines
• Interpret client and brand (Marriott, Starwood, Hyatt, Hilton, IHG, etc.) needs to create cohesive marketing and branding materials for property teams
• Maintain on-going client and team communication with regard to deadlines and progress
• Track and record all time spent on client jobs for billing
Job Requirements:
• Must have mid-level graphic design knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Indesign, Illustrator
• Must have an understanding of ESP logo creation and map development
• Fluent in Photoshop with regard to web and email graphics
• Ability to stay on top of creative deadlines and poses effective time management skills
• Knowledge of the hotel industry and major brands is a plus but not required
• Ability to manage a project from creation to print
• Ability to write and communicate in a professional manner
• Team player interested in collaborating with others to create the best work
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a college or combination of education, training or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this position’s job duties. Marketing/Design degree preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
• Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in using MS Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook to include graphs, tables and other spreadsheet functions
• Professionalism and confidentiality are essential, with a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain comprehensive and cohesive records
• Must be hospitality oriented and possess the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Considerable knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation, office practices and procedures
Preferred Work Experience
• Minimum two years' experience with graphic design type work
• Minimum two years' experience working in PhotoShop, DreamWeaver
• Ability to analyze web statistics and advertising ROI
• Experience in the hotel industry considered a plus
• Very detail-oriented
• Quick learner and efficient worker; passionate about their job
• Good sense of design and ability to conceptualize requested product
• Ability to juggle a variety of projects at the same time, meeting multiple deadlines
• Good communicator, both written and orally
